Oilers Face Elimination In Game 4

Edmonton Oilers Trails 0-3 to Florida Panthers in Stanley Cup Final

Oilers Face Elimination in Game 4

The Edmonton Oilers suffered a disappointing loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Thursday night. After a hard-fought first period, the Panthers took control of the game in the second period, scoring three unanswered goals. The Oilers managed to get one back in the third period, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Panthers' lead.

The loss puts the Oilers in a difficult position. They are now down 0-3 in the series and face elimination in Game 4 on Saturday night. The Oilers have never come back from a 3-0 deficit in a playoff series, so they will need to dig deep and find a way to win Game 4.

Panthers Dominate Second Period

The Panthers took control of the game in the second period, scoring three goals in just over seven minutes. The goals came from Jonathan Huberdeau, Aleksander Barkov, and Sam Bennett. The Oilers were unable to respond, and the Panthers took a 3-0 lead into the third period.

Oilers Get One Back in Third Period

The Oilers finally got on the board in the third period when Connor McDavid scored a power-play goal. However, the Panthers held on to win the game, 4-3. The Oilers now face elimination in Game 4 on Saturday night.

The Oilers will need to find a way to turn things around and win Game 4. If they can't, they will be eliminated from the playoffs and will have to wait until next season to try and win their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
